I don’t know about you, but there are days when I just can’t think of creating a To Do List.. let alone doing anything on that list.
When this happens, I start asking myself questions like:
Why was I not able to do practically anything yesterday except paint?
If you ever feel this way, just ask yourself:
Why am I feeling this way?
Try to discover if an event triggered your mind into feeling lost… Maybe someone close to you said something that got you off balance.
I’ve found that when I go through anything that messes with my internal structure, I need time to recover from it.
And I don’t mean a few hours… Depending on how deep it went, it might even be a whole day or sometimes weeks.
I want you to understand something: if you don’t feel well enough to do things like you normally do, that’s okay!
Simply recognize the state that you’re in and decide that you’re going to let go of every single “should” that’s in your mind.
I should be doing this…..
I should be doing that…
Shoulda here, shoulda there, everywhere a should should…
No no no…
Stop “shoulding” on yourself.
You are free.
Free to take whatever time you need to be able to heal emotionally and get back into a balance.Your soul needs this freedom.
The biggest obstacle that we have to living a peace filled and joyful life is that we tend to force ourselves into doing things even when we’re not up to it. We don’t have a problem recognizing when we’re physically ill, so why is it so hard to give ourselves a break when we’re not well emotionally?
When you’re not physically well, you don’t expect yourself to get out of bed and clean the entire house by noon.
So why do you expect all sorts of things to get done when you’re not emotionally well?
If there’s one thing that I want you to understand, it’s this:
Give yourself time to heal… As much time as you need.
Do this and when you’re well again you’ll be able to do a lot of things with ease and even joy!
I truly hope this helps you in some way ♥
