Embracing Home is a place to get inspired... Make room for joy, love, laughter and peace in your life.

Do you sometimes just wake up feeling anxious or nervous? There may not even be a problem to solve but somehow it just happens.
Well I’ll tell you what really helps me when this occurs: listening to praise and worship songs.
Of course it’s important to set aside time each day to be just “be” with the Lord. But other than those moments we can remain aligned to Him through turning on praise music in the background. This really helps get our minds aligned to God’s truths and experience the Presence of the Lord while doing every day things. It also keeps away those negative thoughts that try to creep into our minds.

There truly is nothing like experiencing the Presence of the Almighty Creator.
It is the most peaceful, safe, joyful and fulfilling place to be. When we truly worship the Lord with all of our hearts and minds, His Presence comes.
The reason we feel such peace when listening to praise is because the Lord inhabits the praises of His people:

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.
Psalm 22:3

If you want to experience His presence in your life, come to Him with all sincerity and you will find Him. As the Lord Jesus said:

The hour is coming, and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those that worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
John 4:23-24

I really wanted to share the following video which is a documentary of a church in Alaska that experienced the Presence of God when they were praising Him. May the Lord speak to you through this video:

What about you? What helps you remain in His peace? Have you ever experienced the Presence of the Lord through worship? Please share your own experiences by scrolling down and writing in the comment section below.

By the way, here are some fantastic praise and worship songs that you can listen to. You can also click each individual song to listen to the one that you feel like :-D .

You’re right, we all have those days sometimes when we wake up and there’s just this unexplainable feeling of anxiety. Now I know what to do :) Thanks for sharing those great songs. -Felix

P&W songs are great for spiritual healing, also the scriptures from the Bible. Praying is another good way that even I need to constantly remind myself to do that even during busy hours. These are some wonderful song selections, Eren. Thanks for sharing.

@Joliet companies - I’m happy that this helped you. We just need to remember what to do when we feel that way. Turn on the praise music, pray and get in tune with the Lord.

@Ching Ya – So glad you liked the songs. Praying is what got me through really difficult moments in my life. I would start to think of all of the bad things and praying didn’t let my mind “go there”. I would declare the promises that we find in Scripture and this is what really got me through it all. I’m so glad you came by. I’m really looking forward to talking to you on Skype sometime.
    Blessings my friend,

I don’t believe I have ever felt the physical Presence of the Lord around me, although I have always known Him to be there. That alone is a comforting thought.

I always pray though that He will become a guiding force in my life.

    Hi Sire,
The times that I have felt His presence most in my life have been when I have been broken and crying and just started to pray. I could literally feel His physical presence all around me.
I was only thinking of Him when I felt His presence. There have also been times when I was happy and felt His presence too but the strongest encounters were when I turned to Him in the midst of despair.
I agree with you that knowing that He is present everywhere gives us comfort. No matter where I go or what I do He is with me.
I love Hebrews 13:5 where He says:
“I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
    Blessings to you,
    Eren

Thanks Eren. Your comment reminds me of a picture I saw once which had a set of footprints and some words where the person was asking why God had deserted him, and God replied he never deserted him. There was only once set of prints because in his time of need God picked him up and carried him.

    Hi Sire,
I love that story. It’s just so comforting. Knowing that He’s there for me is what has taken me through some really tough times.
I try to always spend time with Him each day so that I can be spiritually strong for whatever may come in my life.
    Blessings always,
    Eren

I love the LORD….I want to be closer to HIM..sometimes I struggle with that, so keep me in prayer… HE IS MY EVERYTHING, and I cant wait till HE COMES TO GET US!

I once was in a prayer service at my home church and felt God all over me It’s as if I begin to melt spiritually. tears started to stream down it’s as if God started to pour his love into me and what he had in store for his people. also I felt a warm sensations in and out of my body it’s as if God was taking out all the impurities out so he could show me him. it’s was the most greatest filling I ever felt in my life it’s as if my thoughts was at peace and totally calm. Being in the presence of God usually wears off because of our flesh and it takes praying in Gods spirit to experience who he is and what his desires are for us. But music and singing is a great way to usher in Gods spirit when you are alone or in a group. the power of the lord is real and you can only experience it though Jesus Christ (GOD IN THE FLESH) WHO EVER SHALL CALL UPON THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED (JESUS CHRIST). God can deliver us if we call on him and he will give us his spirit and his spirit is his presence. GLORY BE TO GOD AMEN! Listen to Israel

    Hi Janelle-
Yes – developing a deep relationship with him is the reason that we exist. There is nothing in this world that can fill that deep hole in us – except His presence in our lives. So many times we stray from being close to God because we put other things before Him.
Some people confuse religiosity with relationship with Him. Church is not God. God is God. And nothing can contain the Creator. He is Lord and can not be limited to mediocrity. When we clearly distinguish Him from rituals we are able to grow in our relationship with Him.
I believe this post will help you:

    Hi Antaveis-
Yes.. being in His presence is something sooooooo wonderful. So fantastic ….. When I feel His Presence His joy grows in my heart and His peace. Also when I have a breakthrough of Truth in my mind being renewed by His word – this brings me a lot of joy. Many times lies chain us up and when the Father brings circumstances to heal and renew our spirits – it’s a wonderful feeling.

    Blessings ♥,
    Eren
