One thing i do with my older child when she is bored and its not very nice outside, is i take her to a craft store, let her pick out a few things that arent messy, and just let her make whatever she feels like or even just play with the stuff!

Hi Rosa, I know how you feel. I have 3 boys who are very active so if i don't keep them busy they'll start bickering. What I would do is make areas in you home where they can play various things. Here are some pictures of my homeschool home. My kids go to half day school because it's mandatory here in Brazil but I also have plenty of activities for them to do at home. For the younger kids you can create reading time, blocks time, playdough moments, etc. You can also give them moments to play on the computer. Here are some pages that I created for kids to play online: 1- Penguin lesson plans and online activities
2- Online gingerbread house activities and printables
3- Learn how to draw farm animals online videos
I'm working on another fun post about Thanksgiving and also on one about learning the alphabet through online activities. As soon as I get those done I can tell you about them. Hi Haylee, I know that having bored kids around is not very fun. That's why it's a great idea to plan out your summer beforehand. If you make sure that there's always a productive activity for the kids to do - they won't be bored and will love being home.
Here's a list of ideas for your kids:

One thing that my kids love doing is playing games on the computer and just reading interactive online stories. I'm starting to make several themed pages for kids to use the computer and learn at the same time.
*Here are some about penguin facts online games stories & coloring pages.
*You can also have them watch Jan Brett videos on how to draw farm animals . That way they can learn how to draw for free.
*They can always paint funny faces on pumpkins and then take pictures of them. Here are some no carve pumpkin painting ideas to start them off.
*Here's a fun free Bible ABC poems coloring book for them to have fun coloring.
