Read His Word and ask Him what He wants to teach you that day. I don't have a set of rules for my quiet time with God. Some people like to follow a chronological reading of the Word of God. I personally like to see what it is that I am going through at that moment that the Lord wants to teach me about. What is He trying to tell me. I love that song... Open the eyes of my heart.... by Michael W. Smith. It just sums up exactly the spirit that I want to be in when spending time with Him.
