When I was little kid I remember the awesome barbecues that we had with the whole family during the summer. It was a huge amount of fun. A barbecue is one of many fun summer family activities. You might want to check out more ideas for kids to have fun during summertime.
Now onto the barbecue sauce:
Even though you can find ready made BBQ sauce it never is quite as good as making it from scratch.
You can make this sauce and refrigerate it before the actual day of the barbecue.
This BBQ recipe is made with apple cider.
3 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar
5 dashes of hot sauce
4 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
¾ cups of Ketchup
3 tablespoons of butter
2 minced onions ( better to be large ones)
Instructions:
First you’re going to melt the butter and add the minced onions. Don’t let the heat be too high. The onions shouldn’t get brown at this point.
Put all of the other ingredients into the pan while adding ½ a cup of water and let it boil for one minute.
Bring down the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.
That’s it- you’ve just made great barbecue sauce- enjoy!
