I have been betrayed not only by the man I have loved for three years and was planning a future with, but also by friends who gossip and judge me. Because of this I have been feeling alone and so hopeless. I feel as though God has abandoned me to suffer through this alone. Reading these verses healed a small part of me and helped me to remember to have faith that God is still by my side despite my pain. With this reminder I will look to His Word and lean on Him during this time of suffering and pain. Thank you. I have been going through a very hard and lonely breakup. Yes God is faithful... He has a reason for everything that happens to us. Every single event is to have us grow closer to Him. The closer we are to the Lord.. the more like Him we become. And that is the ultimate purpose that He has in our lives. To transform us into the image of His son - Christ Jesus. <blockquote>"To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." Colossians 1:27</blockquote> Sometimes when we are going through the storm we can't understand what the Lord is doing. However when we know that we can trust Him no matter what.. that's what will get us through and keep us safe under His wings. When I say safe.. I do not mean that we won't suffer on this earth. Job is a clear example that yes the righteous do suffer in this fallen world. However we are safe spiritually if we trust in the Lord. Our spirits are safe in Him. Safe from demonic oppression.. Safe from going to hell when we die. We just have to trust Him and not our rational thinking. Too much rational can lead us straight away from the Lord. That's what our enemy does. He constantly throws lies into our minds when we are suffering so that we don't trust in the Lord. They are very clever and intelligent thoughts. Satan's power of deception is very very big. It is stronger than any human mind and God's Word is the only weapon that can successfully fight it. <blockquote>"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." I have had many difficult things happen in my life but always had a strong faith in God...when I was diagnosed with this horrible disease that takes the life of so many, my faith was truly tested! I gave all of me to the Lord and it was up to Him for his will to be done. That was a difficult time in my life since I have 2 sons under 12. He allowed me a miraculous recovery and I know owe it to Gods children to share the power of his word, his hope, his devotion and his unconditional Love to each of his children. I share his word and my story with whomever I can and I never second guess myself on a chance to help somebody! May God be will all of you and bless you all in the ways you need to be blessed!
