God is your Father
Do you ever feel like you are alone? God’s word shows that you are not alone in this world. The Lord is your Father. He is looking out for your good and always watches over you.

As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him;
(Psalm 103:13 )

Then I said to you, Do not be terrified; do not be afraid of them. The LORD your God, who is going before you, will fight for you, as he did for you in Egypt, before your very eyes, and in the desert. There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.
(Deuteronomy 1:29-31)

Watch this video about a father’s love.
Let the Lord speak to your heart about His love for you as a Father.

Are you feeling weary and tired? God will renew your strength if you are patient and trust Him.

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

The Lord promises to give you strength and help so do not be discouraged.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
(Isaiah 41:10)

God hears your cry and will deliver you from your troubles – place your trust in Him.

The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.
(Psalms 34:17)

He will heal your hurting heart

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
(Psalms 147:3)

Place your hope in God and He will strengthen you.

Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
(Psalms 31:24)

God cares about you

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
(1 Peter 5:6-7 )

Hold on to God’s love and nothing will separate you from Him

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 8:38-39)

He will never leave you nor forsake you– do not fear

…..for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
(Hebrews13:5b-6)

He promises you life, joy and gladness – he will establish you for His glory.

To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
(Isaiah 61:3)

Heavenly not Earthly

The faithful to God did not consider the Earth as their true home.

These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country.
(Hebrews 11:13-14)

But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.
(Hebrews 11:16)

Abraham did not seek earthly treasures but fixated His eyes on the eternal- do the same look to the eternal. Shift your views and goals to eternal life and not to this temporary world. He lived by faith for the reward in eternity.

By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God.
(Hebrews 11:8-10)

Put your eyes on the eternity and in God’s heavenly plans for you.

Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
(Isaiah 51:11)

The Lord Jesus taught us to use the Word of God to strengthen our spiritual lives each and every day.

God is The Creator of All the Universe and has you in His hands – Trust Him!

Recently I heard a great Bible study by Paul Cooley that felt like the Holy Spirit was speaking directly to my soul.
If you are feeling down please go listen to it. I’m sure the Lord will uplift you through this sermon: Discouraged Along the Battle.

If one person, one man, one earthly father can do this for his child; how much more can our spiritual father, God do for his children. We can’t do it ourselves, and always need God’s helping hand, through Jesus Christ.
Thanks for the video. I’ll be looking for more. MG

  5. Eren Mckay

Very true Mikki- that video is so inspirational and I feel so safe knowing that I am his child.
    Blessings to you,

THIS REALLY TOUCHED MY HEART; I LOVED IT. I WAS SEARCHING FOR BIBLE SCRIPTURES, AND RAN ACROSS UR BLOG, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

  7. Eren Mckay

    Hi Marie-
Yes these are excellent to keep top of mind. So that we can move forward.
We as Christians know these things but we tend to forget.
So that is why it’s so important to find ways to remember God’s truths to keep our minds safe from attacks.
    God bless you,
    Eren Mckay

    Hi Nissy,
Thanks for your heartfelt comment. Mediating on Scripture is a great way to get inspired in the Lord and do what He has called us to do on this planet. May the Lord continue to inspire you in everything that you do.

was just @ home feeling down after watching the video of father and son it has truely lifted me up, i juss told god that i thought i had problems when i look @ someones problems its bigger than mine, i pray for that father and som god bless them truly 🙂

  11. Eren Mckay

    Hi Jane,
God’s word will always uplift us. This is why it is so essential to spend time in His Presence, praying, praising and reading His word. The time we spend developing our relationship with Him will give us the spiritual strength to go through all storms of life.

Being a Christian is about a relationship with Christ and a relationship takes time. Jesus spent most of his time praying. He set the example of what our lives should be like. We can pray while washing the dishes, ironing or even other activities. Always connected to the Father.

    God bless you sister ♥,
    Eren

  12. Tonja

Before my diagnosis of adenocarcinoma I had suffered from depression all of my life, even as a child! I have had many difficult things happen in my life but always had a strong faith in God…when I was diagnosed with this horrible disease that takes the life of so many, my faith was truly tested! I gave all of me to the Lord and it was up to Him for his will to be done. That was a difficult time in my life since I have 2 sons under 12. He allowed me a miraculous recovery and I know owe it to Gods children to share the power of his word, his hope, his devotion and his unconditional Love to each of his children. I share his word and my story with whomever I can and I never second guess myself on a chance to help somebody! May God be will all of you and bless you all in the ways you need to be blessed! Much love!

  13. Eren Mckay

    Hi Tonja,
Thank you so much for sharing your story with us all. Yes God is faithful… He has a reason for everything that happens to us. Every single event is to have us grow closer to Him.
The closer we are to the Lord.. the more like Him we become. And that is the ultimate purpose that He has in our lives. To transform us into the image of His son – Christ Jesus.

“To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
    Colossians 1:27

Sometimes when we are going through the storm we can’t understand what the Lord is doing. However when we know that we can trust Him no matter what.. that’s what will get us through and keep us safe under His wings. When I say safe.. I do not mean that we won’t suffer on this earth. Job is a clear example that yes the righteous do suffer in this fallen world.
However we are safe spiritually if we trust in the Lord. Our spirits are safe in Him. Safe from demonic oppression.. Safe from going to hell when we die.
We just have to trust Him and not our rational thinking. Too much rational can lead us straight away from the Lord. That’s what our enemy does. He constantly throws lies into our minds when we are suffering so that we don’t trust in the Lord.
They are very clever and intelligent thoughts. Satan’s power of deception is very very big. It is stronger than any human mind and God’s Word is the only weapon that can successfully fight it.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding; in all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
    Proverbs 3:5-6

What a cute way to illustrate these encouraging Bible verses. I love to take uplifting Bible memory verses for our kids & grand children and illustrate them with fun and cute country clipart. It definitely helps them – and us – learn the Bible verses, doesn’t it 🙂 Have a blessed week.

  15. Ali

I have been going through a very hard and lonely breakup. I have been betrayed not only by the man I have loved for three years and was planning a future with, but also by friends who gossip and judge me. Because of this I have been feeling alone and so hopeless. I feel as though God has abandoned me to suffer through this alone.

Reading these verses healed a small part of me and helped me to remember to have faith that God is still by my side despite my pain. With this reminder I will look to His Word and lean on Him during this time of suffering and pain. Thank you.

  16. Eren Mckay

@Kaye ~ I’m so glad you liked them. I thought it would be cool to create a printable version for people to just look at any time they felt the need to. Thanks for stopping by!

@Ali ~ Yes the Lord can heal your heart and send you true friends instead of fake people. I have also suffered a lot and I understand that feeling. But I can guarantee you that when you truly ask God for help, He listens to you and hears your prayers. He will open doors for you to be even happier.
    Blessings to you,
    Eren
