• Put up red yellow and blue balloons as an arch and a welcome banner in the entrance way.

•The food table can be decorated with cars and trucks.
Another idea is to use a checkered tablecloth.
You can also create a black cardboard road on the top of tables.

•Another creative thing you can do is name your tables after pit stops. For example: Finger Food Pit Stop, Sweets Pit Stop and Beverages Pit Stop.

✵✰Food Ideas✰✵

• You can create a car shaped cake as the one in the picture to the right using chocolate bars and cookies.

•Other ideas for a cake are putting cars on top. And also making the cake in the shape of the number of the age of the child. Have it as a racing track covered in chocolate.

•A great sweet idea are the Traffic Light Brownies using M&Ms in the green, yellow and red colors to decorate and a popsticle stick at the end.

•Have flag toothpic decorations in food like traffic signs, checkered flags.

• As a variation of pin the tail on the donkey you can pin the wheel on the car. Simply cut out the wheels from a cars poster and have them pin the wheels. An easy solution is to just use scotch tape.

• If the kids are little you can separate a corner in the party with mats and race cars for them to play. You can even draw the roads or tape black cardboard for a roads in the corner.

•Get all the kids together and have them guess which character from the movie you are describing. Whoever gets the right answer will win a small prize. Have them hold up their hands and you call on them before they shout out the answer so that it doesn’t get confusing.

• There are kits that you can get that have wooden cars for kids to paint. This is a simple and fun solution for craft time.

• Have large cars cut out previously on cardboard. The kids can then decorate this card with all sorts of things and make their special card for the birthday child. Afterwords you can take a picture of all the cards spread out on the floor.

• A cute and simple solution for favors are just to get little cars and put them in a goodie bag.

Dalmatian 3 year old birthday party costume & toddler party food ideas & games

Kids get really excited about having a pajama party.
It’s a totally new experience for them to actually sleep over at a friend’s house together with their friends. It’s such a memorable time.
This idea is better if your kid has already turned 6 years old.

Ask for help

If you can spare the time, it’s definitely worth having a pajama party, but it’s a lot more work to have one. The ideal situation is to have at least one other adult helping you. (The more friends helping the better.) There’s a lot of responsibility involved since there are other children there. See if another mom or a close friend or relative of yours can come over and help.



Be prepared

Be sure to have a phone number for each child that will be sleeping over and their health card if they have one. Also find out if they have any allergies. This can be done a week before the party.
Make sure the address, your phone number and the time of the party are on the invitation. Have important information like what the child should bring to the sleepover on the invitation. Also determine the hour that the parents should pick their kids up in the morning.

Don’t forget to take digital pictures

Take pictures of the whole party. Remember to include all the guests in the pictures with the birthday child. You can also take pictures of the decoration and food before the guests arrive.
Later you will be able to burn these pictures onto a cd-rom for each guest to have the whole collection of pictures as a keepsake. A cd-rom is not expensive and you can put lots and lots of pictures onto them.

There’s scrapbooking software that can make these memories even cooler.
Have activities planned out for most of the night.

Here is an example for a routine:

• Games time
• Open gifts
• Happy birthday cake and ice cream
• Movie time with pizza
• Get ready for bed
• Breakfast time
• Give party favors for coming to birthday and say “good byes”

You can change and tweak this routine to your particular situation and your child’s personal interests.

Receiving your guests

Talk to your child a week before the party and teach her/him how to welcome each guest when they get arrive at the party. Each guest needs to feel valued and their parents also need to fell assurance about leaving their child for a sleepover. So make sure you and your child receive each guest. Gifts can be put somewhere until opening gifts time.

The Heart of the Party

Choose really fun party games for the kids to play. Have a list of at least 13 games to play if they are short games. If one game isn’t working then just go onto another one on the list.
After playing lots of games – it’s time to open the gifts and thank each guest. I usually have the cake after all the gifts moment.

Make sure that you choose a really pretty cake (preferably in the theme of the party) to sing happy birthday to.

Watch a movie and time to eat together.

After all of those interactive activities, children need to wind down. Movie time is a great time for this. While the kids watch the movie you can get things ready for them to go to bed right afterwards.
Choose a movie that is a new release that you believe most children have not seen so that they don’t get bored. Make sure the movie is age appropriate and doesn’t teach any controversial message.



In the morning have a wonderful breakfast.

Some people love to cook and if you want, you can make waffles, pancakes, bacon and eggs, french toast and honey—the whole deal for their breakfast. You can also have the kids help with non dangerous things in the kitchen.

OR
If you don’t feel like you will have the strength to make breakfast for sooo many children in the morning there’s a simple solution. This is not being lazy – it’s being realistic. You will have just spent the night caring for all of these kids and you might not be up to cooking a huge breakfast (I know I wouldn’t- lol).

Have the other mom stay with the kids while you go out and get breakfast in a fast food restaurant or better yet- simply see if they can bring it to your home.

The kids won’t really care if you made it or not- they’re just going to be happy that they have something really good to eat -lol.
Then when the kids wake up- voila!! A nice hot breakfast with biscuits, sausage, eggs, bacon and orange juice for everyone- yay!

Saying Good-bye

Party favors should be given when the parents are picking up their kids. This makes each guest feel great when saying good bye- they just received a gift too !

The End of the Party
You can be sure that all of your efforts will not be forgotten. A party like this is a memory that will last a lifetime.

Making balloons less of a hassle

Balloons are soooo pretty……. yet so time consuming! If you really want to make balloon decoration less stressful then just hire a professional balloon decorator. If you can’t spend the extra money but still want to make it less stressful then just follow these awesome tips that I have put together.

Plan ahead
Balloons have been the cause of stress in many of the parties I have thrown. I’d be “freaking out” worrying if they would be ready on time. Until I finally got an idea so that I wouldn’t have to worry about them on the actual day of my party: fill them up the day before the party!

I was worried about them losing air before the party started and guess what? They don’t lose the air. You just have to be sure not to leave any balloons on the floor. Make sure you fill and hang them up (out of reach) the afternoon or night before the party. Not only will this prevent them from popping but this will also make it hard for them to be a chocking hazard for the younger kids.



Manual and automatic balloon fillers

Another tip is to buy either a manual balloon filler or an automatic one. If you have one child and you are going to throw one party for every year of his or her life then you will need this balloon filler plenty of times that it will pay for itself. Personally I think it’s worth buying it even if you just use it once since you don’t have to use up all of your air blowing balloons and getting dizzy-lol.

If you don’t want to pay for any kind of balloon filler and still want things to be easier for your balloon filling then invite the neighborhood kids over (that are invited to the party) and have them all work on filling and tying the balloons while you concentrate on tying them to the line. You can also ask for help the day before from your friends or family.

What should be the balloon colors?

The color scheme of balloons has to fit into the theme. It’s fun to have at least two colors of balloons but three colors is even prettier in some cases.

If you are doing more of a pastel colored party you can always add white balloons to the other main color of your party. For example: white and light blue, white and light pink, white and peach, etc.
Whatever the case put the balloon colors together and ask others what they think. Two heads always work better than one.

Where do we put the balloons?

After all of the hard work of filling and tying up all of the balloons some people put them somewhere in the party where no one will appreciate them.

Personally I believe that one of the best places to hang balloons is right at the entrance of the party. That way the guests see the balloons right in the beginning helping them get into “party mode”. Another great place to put balloons is behind the cake table. It really adds value to the cake.

More Great Tips

When you put up the stream of balloons be careful not to use the kind of tape that chips off the paint. The best thing that you can do is tie the ends of the stream balloon somewhere so that you don’t have to use tape. Sometimes this isn’t possible because there isn’t a place to actually tie the balloons to. In that case I suggest using the kind of tape that tapes cloth diapers. It won’t chip the paint off. If you don’t have this special tape then just tape the balloons to a place that isn’t a painted wall.
