@Melanie - Thanks Melanie! I tried to make it simple so that anyone can resize their images quickly.

@Loretta - Totally agree with you on that one. That’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to start this blog. To make things easier and less costly for people that are going online. We already have so much work creating content, promoting it, etc. The technical part needs to be facilitated as much as possible so we can move forward.
I’m just like you. When I hear someone saying : “Oh you have to buy Photoshop..” I cringe. Simply because I know of so many free substitutes for simple graphic work. Of course certain things can only be done with Photoshop– but those are advanced things.

I agree with you, I hate it when some “guru” type comes along and says you need blah blah blah … you don’t NEED blah blah blah that’s just what they want to earn a commission on or what they use personally. There are so many image editing programs out there and a lot of them are free or super low cost. Photoshop is not the be all end all of the graphics world

@Roy - True and the worst part is when some so called “guru” tells newbies that they need to buy 500 dollar software to do this kind of thing.

@Debbie - I actually was thinking of doing a video tutorial for this. I think video would be of great help for people too. Great suggestion .

@Cherrie - Dr. Pic is so easy! That’s why I chose it to make a tutorial. You really should check it out. I think you’ll like it a lot.
I don’t know how to put a watermark on images. Personally I just think it’s a lot of extra work and hassle. It’s an aide though for certain branding images. As soon as I learn how I’ll write another tutorial on that .

Great tutorial! I usually go the lazy route and resize my image in wordpress, but most of the images I take are captured from my iphone which is already in small size. Dr. Pic is an online tool? I have photoshop which sometimes take forever to load, I might look into your tool which seems easier to use.

Off topic, but somewhat related, do you happen to have some tutorial on putting watermark on images, and how you can setup google alerts to keep track of your uploaded images?

This is a wonderful tutorial. I try to re-size my image in wordpress.

I make initial adjustments in Photoshop to make the file size smaller.

Have you thought about making a screen capture video?

Eren, what a great tutorial you’ve created here especially for the folks that aren’t wanting to download any free image editors and/or pay big bucks for them either.

You are showing all of us just how easy it is to take your image and resize it for your blog posts and all with an online tool.

This is so easy peesy and no one will now have any excuse for not being able to resize their photos/images by themselves.
