Outdoor Baby Shower Games

Has the weather been really good where you live? If so, then you might want to plan some outdoors baby shower games to entertain your guests.
This works especially well if there will be men at your party. Guys love to run and compete so they will feel right at home if you plan some of these types of activities. There are many creative baby shower games that you can play. In this article I’ll be explaining two of them.

Outdoor Diaper Race Baby Shower Game

Make your outdoors baby shower loads of fun by planning a diaper race. You’ll need 4 plastic buckets: 2 pinks ones and 2 blue ones. Guests will be divided into two teams.

The amount of disposable diapers you’ll need depends on the number of players and how long you want the race to last.
For example; if you have 10 players on each team, you’ll need at least 20 diapers to play this game. If you want each player to race twice, then you’ll need 40 diapers.

Place the diapers in a bucket on top of a chair. There should be two of these chairs with buckets. Each team will line up behind the chair. They won’t be able to touch the diaper with their hands. When the hostess says “go”, each player at the front of the line will have to bite into the diaper and run with it in their mouths to the other side of the room where the other bucket will be. Hands should be behind their backs. When they get there, they drop the diaper into the bucket. Then they run back to their team and tag the next person in line, which then proceeds to do the same.

This keeps going on until all of the diapers are in the bucket at the other end of the room. When the last diaper is dropped into the bucket, the person still has to come back to tag the last player for the team to win.
To make this game really fun, create the rule that any time the diaper drops to the floor, they will have to pick it up with their mouths. This will make the game hilarious. Of course tell all the players the rules of the game before hand.

Pop the Balloon Outdoor Baby Shower Game

No matter what cool baby shower theme you have chosen, this game will fit in perfectly. All of the balloons that you’ll need for this game should be filled up before hand. Ask some of your friends at the party to help you fill and tie the balloons.
You’ll need to have 2 balloons for each team member other than some extras in case they pop.

If you have 10 members on the team, then fill at least 20 balloons for each one. The more balloons you have for each player, the longer the game will last.
Have two large sacks to place the balloons in. If you don’t have any, simply use large garbage bags. Each team will get one of these bags filled with balloons.
Since you’re outdoors, you can place the bags on one end of the yard.

Team members will line up on the other extremity of the yard. When the baby shower hostess says “go”, the first person in line will race to the other side of the yard and grab a balloon in the sack.

The player will then try to pop the balloon without using hands (just by sitting on it). If the player uses hands, the opposing team will get a point. When the balloon pops, they race back to their team and tag the next person in line. This goes on until all of the balloons are popped. The first team to pop all of their balloons wins.
