 A Memorable and Lasting
Handmade Baby Shower Favor
Every favor is special, however my all time favorite idea is actually a combination of a favor and a ‘thank you’ card. To make this special favor possible, the expectant mommy needs to be sure to take pictures with every one of her guests. Have a place in the entrance way set up for the mommy to meet her guests. Assign a relative as the ‘photographer’ or hire a professional one to take pictures. Each guest can be greeted and then photographed with the mommy-to-be at the entrance way. This special ‘picture taking’ area should be decorated with flowers.
On the day of the event, each guest will take home an adorable picture frame. You can either buy nice and cheap ones or have handmade baby shower picture frame favors. Craft them with card stock and decorative stickers. Later on, when they receive a thank you card, they’ll also get the picture that they took at the baby shower. They can place this photo in the picture frame that they got as favors. Although this idea is added work and expense, it still is my all time favor idea because of the special emotional bond it creates.

 Hand Made Baby Bottle Favors
There are many different handmade baby bottle favor ideas. Not only are they cute but they also fit in with almost any baby shower theme idea.
For example, those that have decided to use the ‘Spa Baby Shower’ theme can fill the bottles with salts and tie satin ribbons around them. If you’ve decided to have a ladybug baby shower, then you can buy red bottles and fill them with red and black jelly beans. Make sure to have matching ‘Thank You’ tags on the bottles. For colorful themed showers you can always fill the bottles with M&Ms or even confetti.
The bottle theme has become so popular that baby shower stores have all sorts of favors with them such as key chains, soaps, and even cookies. There are also really cute candles that come in the shape of bottles. Some are made with a glass recipient and the top of the bottle is either blue or pink depending on the gender of the baby. If your theme is another color then try to find baby bottle favors with complimentary colors to your shower.

Hand Crafted Candy Flower Pot Favors
If you’re throwing a girl baby shower, then you might consider having colorful candy-filled flower pots. To make these pots, simply buy small tin pails in various colors and fill them with yummy candy. The pails can be made out of plastic too. Some great colors to buy them in are yellow, orange, light blue, light purple, pink, and light green. If your theme only has 3 main colors, then stick to the color palette that you already chose for the decoration of your shower.
Make pretty ‘5 petal’ flowers out of colorful card stock and glue a peppermint candy in the center of the flower. Have the flowers be a different color from the pail for a cuter effect. Then simply tape this flower to the front of each candy pail. Spread all of these favors on a table and add green shiny paper in between each pail. Arranging it this way will make the table look like a cute candy flower garden .
