Fruit Arrangements for a Baby Shower

Are you looking for a beautiful centerpiece to decorate your foods’ tables? Why not try some fruit arrangements or better yet an edible fruit bouquet?
This idea is healthy, yummy and unique.
In this article I’ll give you some tips on how to make your own fruit arrangements for the baby shower that you’re planning.

The fruit bouquet is perfect for a cold cuts or a finger foods table. Once you have the ingredients and the tools that you need, making this adorable arrangement really is not that difficult.
The base of the fruit bouquet is made out of floral foam. Another option is using homemade play dough. Cover it with aluminum foil and place it inside of a pretty white wicker basket. Some people simply place it on a small glass bowl. Once that is done, you can move onto designing the fruit flowers and leaves.

A beautiful centerpiece requires a variety of fruit. You’ll need maraschino cherries, pineapples, watermelon, grapes, apples, pears and green melon. Have several different sized cookie cutters to create different formats in your bouquet. Start by cutting the pineapple into slices. Then use the floral shaped cookie cutters to cut out several yellow flowers.
Thread these pieces into the skewers (long sticks) and then put a maraschino cherry for the center of each flower. Slice the watermelon and cut out heart shapes from them. Stick rows of grapes and strawberries onto skewers. Cut the green melon into half moons and use them to look like leaves. By arranging all of these flower fruits skewers in your basket, you’ll be set to go.
A simpler idea is to organize fruit trays for your baby shower. Fruit trays make it easier to eat the fruit, since they wouldn’t be fastened on like in the edible bouquet. Of course you could do both at your baby shower.
By the way, here are some baby shower table decorations to spark more ideas for your special event.
Blessings always,
