@Darrell - Healing is something that I have come to acknowledge as a need in my life. After all the deaths and trying to deal with grief and persecution that I have suffered I have very much needed time to heal. I thank the Lord for His loving kindness in giving me this time. The support of REAL friends is such a blessing and a venue through which the Lord uses to perform His good work in us.

Philippians 1:6
Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

@Kissie - Yes this poem seems very simple but there's a lot that goes to it. Kind of like an iceberg where you only see the top but there's a massive amount more.
The one thing that the Lord has spoken to me very clearly this week is that evil happens in this fallen world. But we are not of this world. We are His.
And all of God's promises will be fulfilled. Some while we are here on earth but most of them when we go to Heaven.. in the eternal glory.. where there will be no more tears, no more sin, no more evil.

Blessings always ♥,
Eren

Eren, you absolutely drove the point home and if I missed it the first time....I definitely got it the second time around. ;-)

Hey, thanks for the introduction to John Waller. I find so much solace in worship while waiting.

As I read the poem and watched the video, one thing resonated - Ecclesiastes 9:11 I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

@Ruth - when I read your comment I was overwhelmed with emotion. You have been in my prayers and we have gone through grief at the same moment in our lives.
I believe the Lord brought us together to be of encouragement and help to each other.
Sometimes I would feel sadness and you would send me a beautiful email and I would be so encouraged.

@Roy - Thank you so much for your kind words.

@Penney - I'm so glad you have passed through this trial victoriously.

@Trevor - Very true- we should never lose our helmet.
Thank you for reminding me of this verse.

@Larissa - Your comment shows that you have a deep artist perspective on things. That is beautiful.

@Natural - Yes, the Lord always knows what He's doing.

Blessings my friends,

Hi Eren,

We need all of the above:

the rain nurture it gives the needed water to everything. It washes away the dust and dirt. It refreshes the air after dry and hot times. It gives the possibility to inhibit connect deeper with the people important for you.

Most part of your body is water.

the wind blows the seeds over far distances, it clears the air, it is a sign for change. When the weather changes there is wind involved. If you changes there is movement involved. The wind helps to clear your mind.

The sun, enlightens and let grow, plants, animals and trees. and it helps you to be in good mood be energized.

You have to embrace all to get the best. an imbalance like to much of one or two of them is of risk.

To much sun dries everything, it makes you tired as you will miss the water and the refreshing wind. Lakes will dry plants will die with to much sun.

To much water or wind is of risk too.

Enjoy the rain as it washes away the bad and nurture the good.

Enjoy the wind as it blows away what is standing still and brings new thoughts.

Enjoy the sun as it brightens the dark and gives energy.

Great poem. Thanks for sharing. Hope is the helmet of our salvation. When it goes, our mind is open to attack.

I have been in the spot where my only hope was God. He had to rescue me or I would have drowned (along with my whole family). The hardest part was waiting. Waiting is a form of suffering. Faith is developed during the waiting period. That is how our faith is tested, used and strengthened. God showed me that hope does not disappoint during the hard times when it seemed like the things we wanted and needed were never going to happen. He took me to Romans 5:5, and He used the verses in Rom. 4 about Abraham to let me know that it was right to believe for the impossible things that we were believing for.

The day did come when He delivered us from that situation, and we are so grateful.

Your post is precious. Thanks for sharing.

Love,
Penney

For as long as I have known you, Eren, (which is many years via e-mail) you have been the encourager of my heart. Through my husband's long illness and, now through the year long time of grief, you have frequently caused me to lift my eyes unto God who filled all my "dry ditches" with his sweet rain.

"Rain may fill the parched soul of the human heart as His balm heals a sore."

Eren,
You, of all people I know, will bounce back. Depressing times are where we find our center when things can get scattered in our Earthly lives, and you are never far off-center in the first place. Chin up. Eyes down. Wings out.

@Gina - Thank you for reminding that only He can get us out of the storm and to not depend on ourselves but crying out to Him for help. It's okay to be vulnerable to the Lord. He embraces us in our weakness.
Hi Richard!
So glad you were able to bounce back- that is totally essential!!!
Very true Kristi,
Usually I see things in a positive light but at the time it was raining on Thursday I was so sad that the rain could represent only sadness to me.
The rainbow is also a symbolism of God's mercy and promise so yes it is a great symbol of hope.
Blessings,

Great symbolism in this writing about the rain, sadness and the sun. I try to look at the rain as a hopeful thing in that it takes rain to make rainbows, and rainbows have always been a hopeful sign for me.

Thanks for the poem. I just bounced myself after two weeks of being really down.

I was just sketching thunderhead clouds this afternoon!
Reminds me of the specific order of words in the verse
“He who the Son has set free is free indeed.”
We do not ride ourselves of the rain.
It is God who will free us, and God alone.
We are trusting that the Son-shine creates, promotes, and allowes for the clouds/rain.
Much to reflect upon here!
